One person. Fixed rules.
Graded Resume is written, built, and maintained by Tom Maruchen. I'm a software developer, not a recruiter — and the site says so on purpose. The score comes from published rules, not from credentials.
Who runs this
My name is Tom Maruchen. I build software. I do not have an HR background, I have not worked as a recruiter, and I do not claim access to any company's hiring process or any vendor's internal parser.
What I can do is read how a document is structured, write rules against it, and publish those rules so anyone can check them. Everything here — the parser, the scoring rules, the report, the embeddable checklist — is built and maintained by one person. There is no team page because there is no team.
Why the score is rule-based
Most resume tools answer with a model's opinion. That is persuasive and hard to reproduce: run it twice and the wording changes, and there is no line to argue with.
Graded Resume is the opposite. The score comes from seventeen named checks with fixed point values. The same file against the same posting always produces the same score, and every rule is published. If a rule is wrong, it can be pointed at the exact line where it fired, argued with, and changed.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not predict whether you will get an interview, and it does not claim to reproduce any specific applicant tracking system.
It does not judge you the way a recruiter would. A high score means the document is mechanically clean and the posting's language is covered — nothing more. The parts of hiring that depend on context, portfolio, or a human reading between the lines are outside the score, on purpose.
It does not keep an account, a profile, or a resume history. There is nothing to log in to.
What happens to your file
The uploaded file is parsed in memory and scored. The finished report is stored behind its own link for 30 days, then expires. Your file is not resold, not used to train anything, and not attached to an identity, because no identity is collected.
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Refunds go back to the original card.
Corrections
If a finding looks wrong, send the report link and the line it points at. I read every message that comes in. A rule that cannot be defended gets fixed, and the rules version changes so an older report can be compared against a newer one.
Every check, its point value, and what it flags — including the ones that make the score worse. Nothing in the report is calculated off a rule you cannot read.
